Our Artistic Mission

This spring, East Coast Divers lost its longtime home to a devastating fire. While the building was destroyed, the community that has made ECD such a special place remains stronger than ever.

This unique painting is now available as a print and is an opportunity for friends, divers, artists, businesses, and ocean lovers everywhere to come together in support of ECD's next chapter. It also glows under a blacklight.

All profits from this painting will help East Coast Divers establish its future home—a place where new divers will earn their first certification, experienced divers will continue their adventures, friendships will grow, and our community can gather for years to come.

About the painting

This is not a quiet painting.

“Resilience of the Community” is a large original impressionist work created with custom-blended paints and specialty pigments. Portions of the original piece react under blacklight, and other sections glow in the dark—because one version of the artwork was not enough. I wanted to highlight the rising from the ashes and all the glowing positivity the community gave like magic.

It is bold, layered, a little unexpected, and inspired by everyone who came together in a moment of crisis and what can happen when people keep showing up for one another.
